Three decades and counting the Caribbean Foundation of Boston is still
strong, with a voice that speaks for itself. We are the catalyst for
the Urban Community Homemaking program. In 1973 we crowned ourselves
pioneers, on the road to improving the quality and access to home care
services in Boston.
We hire and train local residents to provide services that help to prevent
the unnecessary institutionalization of the elderly and disabled, and
to maintain children in their homes by providing help to families where
a mother is incapacitated.
Every year the Caribbean Foundation host a banquet in an effort to show
appreciation and to celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
On January 18, 2009 the Silver Anniversary Annual Martin
Luther King, Jr. Awards Testimonial Banquet dinner

can be purchased at the Caribbean Foundation's office, is held at the William
E. Reed Auditorium in Dorchester, and is open to all. |
